Nickel crucible is suitable for the NaOH Na2O2, Na2CO3 NaHCO3 and contains samples of alkaline solvent melting – KNO3, doesnotapply to e-isomer NaHS04, K2S2O7 or Na2S2O7 acidity such as solvent and sour alkali sulphide flux melting sample.5.The melting state of A1, Zn, Pb, Sn, Hg and other metal salts can make the nickel crucible brittle.Borax does not melt in anickel crucible. 6.Nickel crucible often contains trace chromium, which should be noted when used.7. The new nickel crucible should be burned into a blue violet in the muffle furnace, remove the oil from the surface, then boil for a moment with 1:20 HCl, then rinse off
