The electric finned tube heater is constructed similar to the basic tube piece, with the addition of continuous spiral fins, 4-5 per inch permanently brazed to the furnace on the jacket. The heat sink greatly increases the surface area and allows for faster transfer of heat to the air, resulting in lower surface element temperatures.
